Cozystack: Build Your Own Private Cloud on Kubernetes
by Shriira Press
Cozystack is a free, open-source PaaS platform and framework, accepted into the CNCF Sandbox, for building private and public clouds on your own hardware. It takes a pool of bare-metal servers and turns them into something that behaves like a cloud provider: tenants get managed Kubernetes clusters, databases, virtual machines, queues, and load balancers, all through a Kubernetes-native API or a dashboard. Rather than reinventing each piece, Cozystack stitches together Talos Linux, KubeVirt, Kamaji, FluxCD, LINSTOR, and Kube-OVN into one coherent platform. This book climbs the stack layer by layer — from the Talos and Kubernetes foundation through storage, networking, hosted control planes, tenant isolation, the managed-app catalog and API, and day-two operations.
